I called, and they do not want to sell the batteries in stead they want me to send the player to their repair contractors who would charge me $163 for doing whatever is necessary to put it back in service, even if it just needs a replacement of the battery. This is the way the manufacurers treat you, my only problem is, I love the sound on this, it is awsome, so I bought another of these, but still want to get the first one going
