I have a 3 phase onan Auto-transfer switch 440/480 volts i want to operate it with a single phase 240 volts two wire. voltage from both main supply and generator supply is 240 volts. I need guidelines on how can I configurate the switch to operate off this voltage instead of buying a single phase auto-transfer switch.

Specification of switch:

Onan MP

Model: OTUDK150-4X/1202C

Serial. B820611875

volts. 277/480 4 wires

Hello esbony

I don't understand the topic: "Basil", which for me refers to either the commonly used kitchen herb, or to a principal actor in the TV series "Fawlty Towers".

You are trying to locate information, and perhaps the best contact for you would be: http://www.cumminsgeneratortechnologies.com/en/company/history/recentyears/

Because of the many owner changes since your unit was made, best to contact those latest owners directly, use the: http://www.cumminsgeneratortechnologies.com/en/contactus link, and ask the inheritors of the make for help.

Advise your progress, or lack of same, here, with

kind Regards....

The best way to use Basil in in "Pasta Con Pesto".

Start by making a fresh home made Pesto sauce with fresh Basil from your garden or store. Pan fry some Itilian herb sausage to brown. Boil water and aldente the pasta. put the fresh Pesto into the bottom of your serving bowl. Strain the pasta (I always prefer Pene for this dish) and add to the serving bowl. Begin to blend the Pesto and Pasta, pour 1/4 cup of white wine over the sausage to deglaze the pan and pour on top of the pesto and pasta mix in the serving bowl.

Garlic bread and salad to boot there you go!

Oh yea, most important! Be sure to invite some electricians over to enjoy the meal, then discuss the transfer switch problem you are having. let them enjoy some wine with dinner and they may even install the system for you......just stand back on the first transfer...............

Basil, I'm going to give you some information that you will have to verify because I am not familiar with the transfer switch you have. However, if the switch has programmable parameters for the incoming power sensing, set the "normal" power for L1 to "0". Then the transfer switch will monitor L2 and L3 for 240 volts, but only ask for 0 volts from L1. If that transfer switch is not that sophisticated then you may be able to put a jumper from L1 to L2 on the "Normal" side which will allow the switch to "see" 240 volts on all three legs. You may first try to contact the vendor for his input. That would be the best option.
