CAD/CAM Vendor

05/17/2008 10:15 PM

I have been working in Unigraphics NX3,NX4 & NX5 CAD/CAM systems since last 4 years in one of the leading Indian Multinational Company. I am having an Unigraphics NX3 Software with me at home.I am looking for some CAD(Modelling) or CAM(Manufacturing) work which I can get as subcontracting, from some companies anywhere in the world.

They can send me drawing files which could be opened in Autocad(.dwg or .dxf) & I can make solid models in Unigraphics (or any other formats like .step or .iges) and deliver them at specified time.

I would like to know will I get some orders like that?

Hello midhunbabu

Yes, you should probably get orders from around the world, but it is going to take some efforts on your part.

Firstly, you need some Marketing help, otherwise nobody will ever know you are there.

Set up a Website, using "catch-words" on it, so it gets recognised by Internet Search Engines.

Do your own research, find out the Companies which you need to "target", to see if you have what they are needing.

The marketing will be difficult at first, but once you have a few customers who want you to do their work, they can recommend you to others.

Be encouraged in your efforts, after all, most large Companies started with less than you have.

Advise your progress here, with , thank you.

Kind Regards....
