Dry Contacts vs. Wet Contacts

Dry Contact typically uses relay contact (just terminology difference)

where as wet contact uses 110 vac or 24 vdc mostly used

mosly dry contact are used in the MCC side ,some EPC do use wet contact

I have a level switch which is using 24VDC as its power and its output is in term of contacts NO and NC. It is E&H level switch with model # Liquicap M FTI 51.WILL YOU CALL IT DRY OR WET??

Common (c) you connect to 24 vdc supply or 110 vdc supply depending upon you bus bar /Input module .

NO/NC You connect to your channel or Input point

This arrangement is called Dry/Pot Free contact
