Installation Details

05/23/2008 3:13 AM

Hi Guys,

Im working in the Oil And Gas Industry in Design(Control Systems) and Im assigned to Design all the Installation details for our Control instruments (Sensors, Transmitters, Valves..etc.)

Since Installation of these instruments requires screws, fittings, clamps and other installation materials.

I need Standard sizes of these materials.

Can anyone help where to find these.

Thanks

The best place to start is the Cient's Engineering Standards; it is highly improbable that a modern oil and gas operator doesn't have standardised instruments with standardised hook-ups available. Oil and gas operators are, by reputation, highly conservative in the engineering area and the standards will be well thought out and comprehensive.

Aren't you the guy who posted a couple of puzzles recently? This is nothing more than a puzzle.

By the way, it would be a lot easier for someone to tell you which "standards" to look for if they knew where in the world you are . . .
