Ohm Signal Convert to 4 - 20mA or 1 - 5V Circuit Diagram

05/27/2008 1:30 PM

Hi all Expert,

I need a circuit diagram that convert 0ohm - 100M ohm to 4 - 20mA or 1 - 5v, with the zero and span adjust. Means when the input signal is around 0-500ohm and I can adjust the zero point to 4mA or 1V. And the the input signal is around 100M, then I can adjust the span point to 20mA or 5V. Hope that I could get some help from you all, Thanks

well i am not sure what application changes its Ohm value but your best bet would be to use some opamps to accomplish this.

There are a few instrument manufacturers that will modify std ohm-to-mA converters to specific requested ranges. Brands such as: APCS, MTL, Moore Industries, MANN, Intech and others. I know APCS will make virtually anything you would like that will output 4-20mA.

hi

the best way is to buy resistance to current converter which available everywhere in the world with zero and span screw adjustment.

it is very easy to convert 4-20 ma to 1-5 volt by passing the current through 250 ohm resistance.

thanks for your time
