Thermister 41D26

05/29/2008 12:47 PM

HeHello

I have an Akai Reel-to-Reel tape player that has a thermister on the servo board. I have looked for thermisters before with no avail. If any one knows of the specs for this thermister maybe I can find a good replacement.

Hello

You are best to either try AKAI direct, and ask if they have that item as a spare part, or can give you the specification for it.

Many electronics companies in Japan are extremely helpful, considering it a matter of honour to help a user or repairer of their equipment, even 25 years after the original manufacture date.

I have had parts supplied in the original part numbered boxes, and supplied/sent totally free, because of the above policy.

Sometimes it does take the Maker a month or two, to locate a part in Japan for you.

Meanwhile, or if AKAI are unable to assist, try: http://www.ussensor.com/pgthermistors.html?gclid=CKWCqYyIzZMCFSRaiAodX3qVhQ

You may need to advise them of the Make/Model of your tape player, and perhaps send them the circuit diagram of that part of the tape player circuitry, so they may assess the nearest THERMISTOR (Note correct spelling please), which would be suitable.

Don't lose heart, just try, advise your progress here, with

Kind Regards....

Hello,

Sorrys about the spelling. As the saying goes, my fingers got in the way of my brain.

I did email one company but all I got in return was " We are not that company" !

They were nice enought to stear me to another Akai company. I have not got a return email from them.

I did write a repair company that repaired some Akai, Teac and other R-t-R In Japan. But the return email was that he did not have any 41D26.

I am waiting for the results.

But thinks for your help, Jrw442
