What is the method of converting ft/min into mm column of water?

No such conversion if by conversion you mean what is called dimensional analysis. The units are not comparable or convertable. In one you have a length divided by time, which is velocity in the other you have the height of a column of water which is pressure.

If you are asking how to convert the velocity of the flow of a fluid or liquid into a head (pressure), you will need the density of the flowing fluid and use Bernoulli's theorem.

Step 1 convert ft/min in m/s

Step 2 h[m] = V[m/s]^2/(2*g[m/s^2])*ρair[kg/m^3]/ρwater[kg/m^3]

This is valid if the fluid flow is air which I presume since with other fluids water will not be used.

This equation comes from the equivalence between the "stop pressure"of a fluid flow and the static pressure of a fluid column.

h is the difference in levels obtained in a U tube. This is the principle of the Pitot tube used to measure flow velocities.

I am sorry but it seems that letters are not any more rightly understood in the equation there should be the ratio between specific air mass and specific water mass and not the ... which appeared.
