what are the required factory Acceptance Test (FAT) required for a 1.8MW Diesel generator

That is usually determined by the buyer in the purchase contract or perhaps even in the (RFQ) Request for Quotation.

The ASME performance tests standard for combustion turbine generators is PTC 22, for combine cycle plants it is PTC 46.

I am sure there is one for diesel engines but I just cannot lay my hands on it right now.

Quite. Go back to the purchase requirements document. It may be stated in there. If it isn't then it's going to be a rough ride.
