Contact the original equipment manufacturer, perhaps?

Please clarify.

  • You have an existing weigh scale that you want to find the operating range for?
  • You want to buy a weigh scale and need to know the correct range to select?
  • You want to build a weigh scale and need to know how to select the weigh sensors/load cells?

Don't be shy or conservative with your question. A long question with lots of detail is better than a short one with hardly any detail at all.

A long question may be answered with a long answer which may or may not be helpful.

A short question will be answered with a short answer which may or may not be pleasant at all.

Maximum range is your capacity.(although design has 1.25 - 1.5 safety factor)

Your minimum is your resolution or graduation (smallest).

Ex 60 kgs. capacity at 0.1 kgs. resolution.

if you weigh less than 0.1 kgs it will register nothing,

more than 60 kgs. will register over scale or error.
