Elastic Rail Clips
These electric rail clips are used at the time of laying of track and can be economically maintained.

Applications

  • These clips are widely used in laying new rail roads and in maintenance of existing rail roads.
  • Used in wooden sleepers, steel sleepers, concrete sleepers and bridge sleepers.

Hello shrirang178

It is easy to answer your Question, although I already knew what Elastic Rail Clips were, and what they are used for.

All I did especially for you just now, was use an Internet Search Engine - Refer: Google Results 1 - 10 of about 43,200 for rail clips elastic. (0.06 seconds)

Use of an Internet Search Engine will save you hundreds of hours or irreplaceable amounts of your lifespan, because they access the World's largest Library: The Internet, and it is like asking the good Librarian for personal help.

From those Results, I chose to look at: http://www.tradeindia.com/manufacturers/indianmanufacturers/rail-track-component.html

That gave me an Internet Webpage, on which I saw a selection of Manufacturers, and I chose the top one, because it looked very likely:

GONDWANA ENTERPRISES MR. V. S. MAHESHWARY (CEO)
Address : B-20-B, SECTOR-9, NOIDA - 201301, UTTAR PRADESH, INDIA
Phone : 91-120-2537534
Mobile : +919313260120
Fax : 91-11-27119262

components, elastic rail clips, aluminium rosettes, anti theft elastic rail clips, door closure accessories, door handles, e-clips, elastic rail clips mk-iii, pandrol clips, railway track ...More

I clicked on their Home Page, which gave me: http://gondwanaenterprises.tradeindia.com/Exporters_Suppliers/Exporters/hp/6059/home_page.html

And there, scrolling horizontally across the very top of that webpage, I saw some of these: which are the very things you want to know about.

Elastic Rail Clips, therefore, are used to hold the mounting flanges of iron railway lines, to wooden sleepers.

Now, next time, try it yourself with an Internet Search engine, you will find them so easy to use, and surprisingly helpful.

Trust you feel assisted.

EDIT: Aha, while I was writing this Post, just for you, All About M.E. wrote one, right above this one.

Kind Regards....

Sparkstation, that was very nice of you to take the time to layout the path to get to the information. I hope shrirang178 and others understand how easy it can be to complete some simple internet searches for this type information.

are marketed in Europe by the Pandrol company, and are in widespread use and the fastening of preference in the UK. They are one of a number of styles of elastic rail clip in use with flatbottom ("Vignoles") rail, and are commonly referred to as "Pandrol clips". There are several types, depending on the type of rail in use and whether the line is track-circuited or not.

However, nearly all types of rail clip are intended to have some elasticity, so as to maintain the preload necessary for securing the rail firmly to its carrying member while traffic is carried over the top. All track systems have a certain amount of flexibility, and this must be reflected in the style of fastener used.

Also fitting this category are, for flatbottom rail:

  • The Nabla fastening
  • The SHC clip
  • The Macbeth Spike
  • The elastic spike (for BR1 baseplates)
  • The Mills clip

among a number of others, and for bullhead rail:

  • The Mills spring key
  • The Panlock key
  • and to a certain extent the compressed oak key, which is a traditional fastening still used to a certain extent with heritage track components.

This site has a set of photographs of a number of types of fastenings in use, together with some other interesting details of track components.
