Moment load
Load that acts on a certain distance from for example, a bearing. The load Kp on the gearwheel in the picture, causes a torque around the shaft axis and Kp and Kn co-operate and give rise to a bending moment in radial direction on the shaft as well as reaction forces on the bearings A and B. The load Ka causes a bending moment on the shaft in axial direction which is counteracted by reaction forces on the bearings A and B.
