Pressure reducing valve

07/05/2008 5:25 AM

Hi all

Would like to know about availability of a pressure reducing valve to reduce water pressure from 100 psi to 50 psi. Preferably compact and should have an itegrated NRV at its outlet.

They are commonly available from any plumbing supplier (in UK at least...you don't say where you are)... here you are from screwfix . I think if you want an NRV you may have to add one separately.

Need to know the flow rates or pipe sizes in and out. If you are in the united states you can get them from Grainger at www.grainger.com Try part number 1KBX6 it is for 3/4 inch NPT I buy them all the time for about $92.00 This one does not have the NRV but that is available for more $

Good luck

You can get it also from Venn/Yoshitake/Leslie/Honeywell/Spirax Sarco etc., but you need to specify flow gpm/M3 per hr to size the PRV. You need to install a Safety Valve(SV) on the outlet an NRV alone will not do the safety job. With an SV you do not need a NRV. If you application still requires an NRV then opt for Disk-type.

The best thing is to contact a valves distributor locally. Yellow Pages?

Recreational vehicle parts stores carry both of them.
