bronze valves

Can we use ferrous material handwheel for brass/bronze(non ferrous) valves??If yes/no why???

This is often the case with off-the-shelf valves. In order to assess whether "we" could use them, a few environmental conditions are required.

  • Where are they installed?
  • On what sort of plant?
  • Where is it located?
  • What sort of ambient conditions? Temperature? Humidity? Altitude? Any salt spray?
  • What's in the pipe - at what temperature and pressure?
