I don't know if this works, as I have never tried it myself, but adding an acrylic primer (primer made for concrete, to make it bond better to the surface, hey'di makes them in Norway) is supposed to make plaster stronger. Another option is to mix in chopped strand fibreglass, or buy a plaster with chopped strand allready mixed in.
The curing time of plaster is dependent on temprature, so if you try to keep the room and the mix cold, the curing time will increase. However there are several types of plaster and if you contact a proper muolding/arts supplier, they should be able to help you find a type with your prefered setting time. If not, it could be an idea to try adding in a concrete retarder, although that is a wild guess, and will take some experimenting on your behalf.

Basicaly in india there are verious of grades of plaster of parise alfa,beta are well known grades used in cement,medical industries.i have only some datas on alfa grades and the combination of alfa depends as per customer's requirement.
