It took me around 20 seconds to locate information, because you did not correctly spell the word "kalugin".

Google Results 1 - 10 of about 139 for kalugin chinese Blast furnace. (0.24 seconds)

Having worked in the steel industry in the primary end (in the Research area) for 25 years prior to retirement and then viewing the advances shown in these links I now totally understand why the US is now playing 2nd fiddle. Until corporate management actually starts to implement engineering and research technology no improvements in costs of operation will occur. The corporate moguls were instrumental in digging their own graves (and some of the graves of others).
