Electrical wiring

07/16/2008 3:56 AM

Am electrical engineer. I started practicing recently. As I was going through electrical load analysis for a building I came across a component that I really don't understand. This is "raw power Socket outlet". My assumption is that may be its a provission for any other load that may not have been consindered during analysis. Please, as engineers and experts in the field,advice..

Hello willycarry

"Raw Power" is what is normally classed as unfiltered, without any major protection devices fitted to the circuit, other than a plain fuse or simple circuit breaker.

You need to give your location and Country, which you may do in your Profile.

The reason is that dependent on your location, the term used "raw power outlet socket", has very different meanings, and if you give your location/Country, it may be possible to assist you.

A scanned picture of the relevant drawing would also assist in diagnosis.

Looking forward to your reply here, with

Kind Regards....

I agree with Sparkstation. Raw Power Outlet mean nothing when caculating load.

You need to get more information.
