What are the main parameters we have to consider while selecting oneline oxygen analyser. Presently how many ways we can detect oxygen contents.

Hi,

with such a fuzzy question you`ll never get the sharp answer you possibly want. If you don`t tell us a little more about your application we can`t tell you what to do. I`ve worked with gas analysers for industrial and for environmental applications - they may be completely different in principle, accuracy, reliability, resolution (% or ppm or ppb) and - determined by this, price.

Regards Uwe

I can recall 2 or 3 types of oxygen-meters.

One of them uses replaceable fuel cells working based on chemical reactions and used mostly with portable / hand-held instruments.

The other one trusts on resistance-change of platin wire in oxygen and suits for continuous monitoring of ox.

Another type uses optical absorption principle and can also be used continuous monitoring of gas.

I think there were a type of oxy. meter that uses magnetical field to ionize the gas, if i don't remember wrongly...

This list can be expanded of course. It will be better for you to google the "oxygen monitoring" for example.

regards

Friend,

First thing you should know what is the level of O2 concentration. What is the pressure, temperature and contents of the process sample. Also You have to consider the phase of sample.

There are three types of O2 analyzers ZRO2,paramagnetic and electrochemical type.

Thanks!
