Oil transformer

Dear all,

How many type oil transformer? Besides, may i know the tests which will be carried out when the oil transformer was sent to the site?

Follow the original equipment manufacturer's instructions, otherwise warranty may be negated!

There are two types of oil transformers Natural cooled where oil gets natural cooling from fins and the other forced cooling where fans are installed to transfer the heat.

Before the transformer is dispatched by the manufacturer they conduct routine tests. If the customer specify they will conduct the type test also. The details of both these types of tests are available in BS / IS /IEEE specifications.
