Hello sanstl

I know of no Government or International Application Standard for these starters.

The Starters have to comply with local Regulations and Wiring/Safety Standards, in the Country/Location of the place where they are installed.

Some Starters will be marked with the British Standard Kitemark, the CSA from Canada, UL from the US, VDE from Germany, and so on, these are International Standards, but are NOT Application Standards, which you are asking about.

Trust that assists you.

Kind Regards....

These things are only made by one manufacturer in India, so there are no "standards" other than theirs. They are an offshoot of a long abandoned technology called a Magnetic Amplifier (Mag-Amp) starter, made by both GE and Westinghouse up until the 1970s then discarded as too large, inefficient and not competitive against other soft starting technologies. This new version claims to be an improvement, but they have been at it for a few years now and nobody else has picked up on it, which usually means the value is not proven to be marketable beyond a specialized niche of applications. So don't expect to find anything approaching a "standard" for them any time soon.
