i truly agree with your comments but still stand alone steel melting shops have any viability as many manufacturers go on to tell that plants would not survive and will go into losses.

how does one get to know the real fact if any one is looking towards setting up of manufacturing unit of the similar kind. as there are many units of similar nature are coming up in this region of India, west bengal

yes i am from India, so what could be the cost of it, electrotherm is a furnace manufactuirng firm, i dont think they will be able to throw any light on this issue.

so is there anhy other way you can tell what is the cost of manufactuirng ms billets by using sponge iron, scrap etc.

If u give me rate of pig iron, melting scrape, ferro silicon and silico manganese, sponge iron and power cost per unit then i can give u cost per ton of ms billet.
