Hmmm, If I could think of a gret invention, I'd have done it by now and I'd be rich and famous.

I don't do 'trendy'... but Electric Vehicles are fairly 'now'.

Tesla coils and high voltage stuff is quite spectacular.

So you want a solution for witch you can supply a problem.

What about a mechanical method (like a tweezers) to separate the H and O in water?

If you really want an electronic project - what about an electronic water frequency meter? The fuel from water guys will pay a lot for the information.

I just thought of an idea to die for. But I will rather keep it to myself.

Unfortunately I can not help you.

The project is intended for evaluating your ability to use the theoretical knowledge in real life situations. Any great invention will only be a bonus.

My advice is to take a problem, put your back into it and get your qualification.

PS my great idea will not work either.

Ok, please indicate your technical ability from the list below first so that I can provide a project idea suitable for your level of technical experience and ability.

You are -

1) A graduate electrical engineer with a good understanding of scientific and electrical principles. You have used a soldering iron before.

2) Still in school and doing a class electrical project or something in between watching cartoons. You know which end of a soldering iron is the handle.

3) You are a backyard inventor with limited education. Your next question is "what's a soldering iron?"

4) You like looking at free energy and perpetual motion websites. Everyone else is wrong if they question your ideas. Everyone holds the soldering iron the wrong way but you, but you use gloves which reduces your hand burns, which you think is a brilliant idea and you have or are in the process of patenting the idea.

Well how about something involving electronics & communication.

What about a converter that changes sound to light, transmits it using an LED and then re-converts it back to sound at the receiver. Not a new thing but a good project none the less (some microcontroller programming is necessary).

For a more advanced invention project you could try and perfect the current developments in quantum communication (which allow theoretical instantaneous transmission speeds).

This may be a little advanced for a first project however.

thanks.... first ys hmmm you r speaking about OFC transmission, convert sound to light usin LED then transmitt & re-convert it into sound waves, well this is already implemented every where..good idea to try some thing in quantum communication thanks alot if u have further good links about such links tell me... let's invent something new
