Assuming the board is broken and no other damage is done:

  • Note: runs can be on both sides of the board, and multi-layer boards have runs inside the board

The proper way is to drill a new hole, install and solder a new run, and insert and solder a new post and finally solder the wire to the post.

An easier fix, is to:

Follow the copper run to the next connection point (probably the input to a transformer) and solder the wire there.

Do you have you any experience or training in soldering electronic devices?

Roll it into the center of a large (1 kg should suffice) ball of high solids epoxy.

When fully cured, roll it down the face of Hoover Dam.

After the quite satisfying "Splooosh!", go to Wal-Mart and purchase a replacement.

Weekend fulfilled!
