What should be the pipe material, size and drain trap for AHU Condensate drain ?

The trap should be made from copper pipe and must be configured to keep a adequate water column that will overcome the fan oulet pressure.

I have occasionally seen PVC uses for condensate drains, but in sunny environments PVC can become brittle and subject to breakage.

We use PVC at a minium of 1 inch diameter and no reductions .

The AHU product data, unit application, local building codes, and site requirements are needed to make an application. Without these one can only say you need a trap.
