If there's no way from Excel, there are plenty of converters around for free download - google for .dbf converter. May be easiest to save as .csv rather than .xls

Hello ThomC

You could always go and use Open Office, which is compatible with M$ Office and all major productivity software suites.

Open Office is also Multi-Language, nearly 100 language localisation projects, with over 70 supported languages currently available

The free and open productivity suite

Because Open Office is always Open Source, you will not have to pay to Download and use it.

Many corporations and Governments are now using Open Office.

Refer: http://www.openoffice.org/

Perhaps that may help you and others, also save you a bundle, by not having to pay for all those upgrades.

Kind Regards....

File type.dbf is a database file and MS Access will open it. You can then either save it again in .dbf or to the new MS format .db1. As far as I am aware Excel will not save in .dbf

If you do not have the professional version of MS Office 2007 you may not have MS Access and will not be able to open or save the file. Check with your IT dept.
