Servo Motor - Angular Rotation Accuracy

Can anybody guide me how i can validate a Servo motor rotation errors in terms of Minutes of a Degree rotation. ?

See www.heidenhain.com for an encoder and coupling and readout,

attach a computer to plot,

some people stay with synchros and or resolvers for the same purpose.

how can i test servo motor if it is faulty

how can i know wether servo motor is faulty or servo drive is faulty
