Other than theoretically, I think that would hugely depend on the water heaters used. Perhaps you could get a real world estimate from the energy star rating tag posted on each unit.

The cost of Heating can be calculated as Under :

First calaculate the Heat Load By simple Heat transfer equtation :

Q= mXCPXDelta T ( 100X1.004(100-20) = 100X1.004X80 = 8032 k-cal/hr/863=9.3 KW. In India the Power cost is Rs 4 per KWH.

Hense total heating- cost- 37.22 Rs.

M- mass Of water In Lit or Kg

Cp- specifica Heat capacity Of water - 1.004 K-cal/Hr

Delta- T- Temp Diff Between- Higher Limit & lower limit

This will generate heat load in K-cal/Hr which can be converted by KWh by diving it by 863.

The cost of Electricity can be computed by multiplying the KWH rate to the total Heat load.
