Meter Tag Colors

Can anyone tell me what the different electric meter tag colors represent. My meter tag is silver but my neighbors tag is now green. His tag was silver/gray and the power company changed it to green and have not told him why.

My tag is clear, But i believe that the yellow, means that you are in danger of being cut off or they think that you have tempered with it

Maybe a date code of some sort - suggest asking the utility provider - they are the only ones who'll know for sure...

A colored tag attached to a metal ring? I believe these are seals to protect the utility personnel and prevent unauthorized tampering. The color of the seals may change by batch and may have zero significance.
