Hello all,
This Topic was started in response to a problem as detailed by elnav refer: http://cr4.globalspec.com/comment/270033/Re-Need-Long-Interval-Timer
Google Search Engine has a problem, but there is a way to beat it.
Whatever Country you are located in, when you use Google, it automatically switches over to your local cache.
Now
that makes for faster Searching, because instead of the single
centralized reference Computer in one Location, Google has the most locally asked for
information spread across many Locations in many Countries in many
languages.
However, if I am in New Zealand, where I live, and I
need to find information about something in the UK, my Google Search
switches automatically to the efficient local cache at http://google.co.nz instead of the Location/Country I wish to Search.
This means I cannot locate the information I am requiring, easily.
The
way to "beat the Google local cache system" is to look at the useful
collection of Country and Language specific hyperlinks here: http://c.asselin.free.fr/french/googleworldwide.htm
For
efficiency, and to save that webpage from excessive bandwidth, you
could do what I did long ago, (when I discovered the useful webpage
above), use a hyperlink listed on that helpful webpage, and go to the Google Location you require.
While
you are on that desired Google start page, bookmark it into a "Google
Search Engine" folder in your Bookmarks or Favourites of your Internet
Browser.
Next time, just go to the Bookmarked/Favourite you
stored, and "Voila, you arrive", and are able to Google Search in that
particular Country's Google Cache, in whichever local Language you choose, far more efficiently.
Trust that assists those who have been frustrated by the efficiency of Google.
Kind Regards, from the supracontinent of Zealandia
