You can easily see from that webpage, that the "make your car more economical by fitting our fuel magnetizer in the fuel line" and such type of snake oil remedies, just cannot possibly work, either, because there is nothing to magnetise in either diesel or petrol, unless the fuel is contaminated with water.

Well the answer is Yes and No.

First the answer, yes, what you do is place a magnetometer diametrically opposite the source/generator device of the magnetic field by which you wish to make the measurement and then generate magnetograms of the change in the direction of the field as the fluid velocity changes - now this is possible because every molecule has a characteristic "recessional angular magnetic field" which gets distorted when impinged upon with a magnetic field and in reciprocity also displaces the field from its original direction.

Next the answer, No, because the cost is so exhorbitant that you would not want to do so unless you have no other option.

As I said, it is very expensive to make and to buy. But if you must then contact NASA they use them to map the solar systems and also check the Bioelectromagnetic fora, the entire discussions on those fora deal with applications of that sort; and they are many.

No if the process fluid is non-conductive, which applies to most fuels.

Further, in many cases there is the flammability to consider. If the fluid is such that an installation must be compliant with local regulations of the use of electrical equipment in potentially explosive atmospheres, that may pose further restrictions on the type of flowmeter to be used. Certainly, this would be the case with petrol. Magnetic flowmeters usually fall outside these restrictions, and attempting to use one on this fluid will not prove popular with fire insurance companies...

Sure magflow can be used for Diesel.

the electrical condutivity must be greater than the 5 micro siemens / cm2 and the the fluide passing should be in such a manner it must mounted in an 30 degeree elevation the fluid must be filld the pipe with uniform during measuring time
