Picture of F-35 solid model or FEA representation

08/29/2008 12:45 PM

Hi, Can you give me a link where I could find a picture of the F-35 JSF represented as a Solid model. An FEA representation of the aircraft in its color coded form would also be okay. I tried using Google image search but came up with nothing.

I am writing an article about the JSF and was looking to add a representative picture of it.

Any help would be highly appreciated.

If your intent for a picture is "fair use", the you should find thousands of pictures, but I am not clear on what you mean by "solid model".

You might also search under its proper name "Lightning".

Finally, you could appeal to the press department of Lockheed Martin. They probably would supply you with whatever you want (within reason).

"you could appeal to the press department of Lockheed Martin"

This is the legal way to do it. Ask for a converted "read only" like a simple .jt file or an equivalent. The required viewer is free.

I've seen solid models of the A-10 and Eurofighter, but never an F-35. I suspect that there is still a bit of secrecy about the exact shape, making it difficult to post anything with that kind of sophistication.

A "Guest" asking for solid model info on a state of the art aircraft?

Something smells fishy here!

Why not register and thus show you are not hiding anything.

I don't really need a hi-res pic of the JSF. I was writing an article/paper in college. For the section where I write about the suite of softwares being used to develop the JSF, I thought it would be a nice touch to use an image of the JSF in its Catia environment.

I apologise for not conveying my need properly. what I need is a picture of the JSF which is shown to be running in Catia environment

Equally useful would be a picture of the JSF as a CFD model with its body color-coded

OK........... so you need a picture of a 3D model, not an actual working 3D model.

Contact Catia, I'm sure they like free advertising and have probably arranged some released images with the JSF program.
