What kind of contact grease can we use for disconnects? Can you give me brand name for me to purchase?

Yes, but you should NEVER grease contacts unless the manufacturer recommends it. Some contacts are designed to never need it, so to do so can have disastrous consequences.

Some of my worst memories come from contact grease selection that was done poorly.

The manufacturers will provide "compatability" list of materials that can be used in co-ordination with their grease, but they are often favourably misleading.

If you use any grease, check the compatability of the grease with every material it will come in contact with.

We used a particular brand as "substitute" for 2 days while we awaited a delivery of the standard material. Within 2 years, 998 of the 1000 parts made in those 2 days were returned in warranty for environmental stress cracking of plastic parts associated with the switch.

Choose carefully. The consequences can be substantial.

I concur, a breaker mfg co I used to work for used a lithium based grease for a new line of breaker mechanisms, and after about two years the grease began hardening causing the breakers not to trip.. Needless to say I spent the next year or so traveling around the world cleaning out the lithium grease and replacing with other type of grease that had been used for years by the same company.
