Dear friends,

I have one project with some marine works.I have to use some marine power cables for the power transmission to an island.Total load for the island is 25MW.The transmission voltage is 33KV.Can anybody tell me the cable size required for the load and any price for this cable. This is the first time i am working with marine cables. Please send me some manufactures details and some catalogues.

Thank you

Ahh, I have looked at your previous posts and I do not think I should give you this information as you do not appear to be suitably qualified for this job.

Are you working as an assistant to an electrical consultancy firm or something? You are asking some very strange and basic electrical questions (.

Please ask a professional for advice, it would be a real shame if you accidentally killed someone thru inexperience and lack of electrical understanding.

I gave you a GA point. Your point is well founded and I agree with it completely. This "EE" in a previous post was asking about series and parallel arrangements for low voltage lamps, then we jump to a 33kV system carrying 25MW. A little incongruous I think.

A real large shudder comes to mind...

That looks like an arrangement seen in the main street running through La Paz, Bolivia.

Do you think he is weighing the risk to taking cable to sell ?

or cutting power to a whole island.

Probably the latter. Maybe he is looking for information as to how these cables are made so they can figure out how to cut them without electrocuting themselves or maybe how much it will take to really damage armored sumersible cable.

I have no idea.

It still amazes me that people can find CR4 but cannot do a simple google search and find an answer in a few minutes themselves. That's just crazy and lazy (cralazy even).

I mean come on, it really isn't rocket science to put the words "marine cable underwater manufacturer" into a search engine. Where better to find the information than to go straight to a cable manufacturer. If you are qualified to do design work in the field of high voltage cabling you should be able to name at least three applicable cable manufacturers! If you cannot, WTF (excuse my language).

Generally important because

a) It can give you more information about what the poster wants (especially if they don't offer a lot of detail, or what detail they offer is confusing).

b) Some posters have a Jeckel/Hyde personality going on. Sane posting one minute, abusive free energy ranting the next.

c) Some people should not be given information for the safety of themselves and others.

and

d) It can give you a good in site into the person who is posting. This can help to Taylor the answers we post. Examples of this are giving a more detailed answer if we think that person has the knowledge to understand, or giving a more detailed and helpful answer to someone interested in free energy or such who appears to be interested in actually listening to answers that contradict their understanding/that cool website they just looked at with the video of the car running on water..........

I think you have a concept you wish to develop but are in well over your head.

You need to learn more because your question is not answerable as stated.

I can tell you they will cost a lot.

Study power line transmission to get the generalities then get a specialist to check your work and give you pointers.

Dear Friend

Please stick to 33 Volts for the time being ,before being graduated to the higher voltages.(33 KV)

With the type of questions you have been asking previously do not think about venturing into such projects.
