Posting a Welding Job

09/29/2006 3:06 PM

I supply barrier and post materials. I have a need to process (cut and weld) several thousand steel posts. The materials originate in various states.

Does anyone have suggestions at to where (internet or printed listings) I can post this job to to find the most reasonable in prices without having to call hundreds of welding shops?

The material is 6"x4"x8.5#/ft Galvainzed I-beams. Some need to be cut in half and all of them need to be butt-welded into units that are 1.5x their current length.

Strength of the weld needs to be good, but not to a closely regulated standard.

It might help to know where you are, especially for any potential bidders.

Nationally, you might try:

Contract Job Hunter

http://www.ceweekly.com/

National Technical Employment Service

http://www.ntes.com/

roadtechs.com

Good luck with your search.
