Help regarding motorola MC68HC908GP32 controller

We are devoloped an industrial project on the above micro controller using mono 08-serial port programmer.But the MC is now obsolete and is replace with MC 908.The microcontroller refuses to interface with mono-08 serial port programming.

Please advise and suggest the various troubleshooting mechanisms we may follow to solve our problem

Have you tried contacting the programmer manufacturer? They may have an update (firmware/software whatever) which will allow you to program the replacement part.
