replacement of pneumatic diaphram pump by electrical pump

09/19/2008 7:10 AM

I want to replace one pneumatic diaphram pump by electrical pump.

Air requirement for pneumatic pump is at 7.0 Kg/Sq. Cm . Air supply line is of 4 mm diameter.

What will be the size (rated KW) of pump if head is 3 meters .

Flow is 200 Litres /15 minutes.

What is expected KWh saving

Most of the time, a diaphragm pump is not installed unless there is a reason. And the reason is usually dependent upon what you are pumping. So, switching to an electric pump may not be such a wise idea. Can you disclose what you are pumping?

Are you (or have you) considering a reciprocating electric motor to replace the air pressure function?

Most pneumatic pumps are used to pump flammable liquids if this is what you are pumping I would not recommend changing to an electric.

Not without some idea of what the <...pneumatic diaphram pump...> is doing!

  • Wetting agent?
  • Temperature range?
