please tell me which material is suitable for centrifugal pump shaft if material which we are pumping is corrosive.

is it possible to weld broken shaft?

corrosive is a loose term..........316L SS as a guess.

No do not weld it, it can tear your pump apart.

Or something preciptation hardened, like a 17-4-ph, but it depends on what the corrosive material is.

17-4ph is a precipitation hardening martensitic stainless steel, please see links below:

its a pumpetravini make multistage pump.

most of the problem in brine, caustic and lye.

which is corrosive and having ph 10-14.

please advice me.

Please, specify the pump service ( pressure, temperature, fluid, etc. ) or copy a technical data sheet of the pump.

Not recommende to weld shafts especially under corrosive conditions the weld could suffer and be destroyed very quickly
