Soda Can Collector

09/25/2008 11:07 AM

I hope I'm not wasting the sits time w/ this query. As simple as it may be to you guys I wish to build a soda can solar collector and wish for it to be as efficient as possible. I have multi Qs about air flow, construction ... I'm here because you are at the head of the class and the guys in the chats have only knock around ideas. I,when building some thing don't like going that route.

Who would like to take me on as a project. Show of hands Please. Next project Wind Generation. Stay tuned.

Thank You Truck Driver

Welcome aboard! Del the cat (one of our valued [don't let him know I called him that] members here had a thread you might look at about a solar water heater DIY project. It didn't use soda cans, but much else might be convertable.

Oh dear lord, can you imagine the size of the fur balls after his head swells from that comment? His purrs will sound like growls!

Soda can collectors are especially good for feeding hot air to clothes dryers. Use 16 ounce cans for more area.
