hello i need to interview an Electrical engineer

09/28/2008 12:45 PM

Hello my name is Brian Pujada

I m a student attending Passaic County Technical Institute (high school) in New Jersey.

I have been assigned to do a project on a type of engineer in my Project Lead the Way class.. For my field of choice I chose Electrical Engineer.

One of the constraints of the project is to interview an actual Electrical Engineer.

This is where I need your assistance.

If an Electrical Engineer could please answer the following questions and email the answers back to me ASAP it would be a real help.

Thank you.

Questions for Interview

1) What is your Name?

2) Are you an Electrical Engineer?

3) Did you always want to be an Electrical Engineer?

4) How long have you been an Electrical Engineer?

5) Where did you get your Education?

6How long did you go to school?

7Where have you worked as an Electrical Engineer?

8) Where do you work now?

9) What is your salary and how has it changed?

10) What kind of education do you need to be an electrical engineer? What courses did you take?

Thank you for your cooperation.

No I can't as it's your home work and it's your life.

I do not find this set of questions too hard for simply you sit down, to think through and write down an answers.

good luck

i dont like to lie to my teacher..so i am not going to fill out my interview like the other students in my class did to theirs.

If you are not an electrical engineer and cant help me i understand, but if you are one it would be a big help if you answered my interview ASAP.

It's good you don't want to lie to your teacher and I do believe you.

I do undrstand it is good opportunity the Internet and other like things, but I think it would be better for you could find someone in real life for interview.

I have basis education as electrical engineer, but all my life I worked in instrumentation field. If it suit, you can write me in privat mailbox as I need detail of your project too. It's not clear for me. Then I'll think and maybe help.

Re: hello i need to interview an Electrical engineer

im glad you believe me.

And as for detail i sort of rushed my interview because my teacher did not make it clear that no one can interview the same person.

I had previously interviewed a teacher at my school with two other students. If i had not handed my project early i would not have found out that what me and the other two students had done was unacceptable.

So now im just thinking on my feet because i do not know any other electrical engineers. I got an extension on my project up to Monday, which is tomorrow. So that is why my interview may seem to lack detail, if you feel there is more helpful information you can give me please feel free to write it in your reply.

Im tryin to make it short so i can get it over with.

I'd rather have a grade than no grade at all. I learned that last year the hard way.

The teacher of your school is an Electrical engineer? Why have you interviewed him?

It's no good time when you appeared here at cr4 as in weekend days it's not crowded as in working ones.

I do not want to cheat you and your teacher as well. As you'd noticed every member of cr4 forum is reffering oneself to certain engineering group. I do not belong to Electrical engineering group at all. I hope there will be more people from western semisphere soon, so there is a hope for you. They'll read this thread and lend you a hand for help.

Ive been in the Project Lead the Way class for almost four years now. Ive had two teachers. This year is my first year with a new teacher. I interviewed my first teacher because she is an electrical engineer. The teacher that i have now is a Mechanical Engineer.

But anyway, i understand, timing is usually everything.

Thank you for your help and time.

It's up to your teacher and you, but I have not any intentions to provide my private data to anyone whom I do not know. Do you agree I have the same right do not believe to person. Though you should agree I had made maximum what I could to help you. Let's your teacher attend the cr4 site and let's he reads threads, mine include, to make his own conclusions about integrity. Trust is both sides way. I do try believe anyone once I meet him/her, though so often in my life I was toughly cheated.

I think you would be better off interviewing an engineer in your home town. You are asking personal questions that people would not like to put on the internet.

Hello Twinbr2

There are two potential problems with your above Question.

  1. The Question as asked is a "Class or Homework Question", which is not allowed under Site policy. Any "Educational" type Topic should really be in the http://cr4.globalspec.com/section/education Subforum.
  2. The Question as asked, may be a Fishing exercise for details of a Member or Members here, and the information gathered may later be shared to a Database. That Database may be used as a Database, or for Identity theft.

You would really be better to contact a local Electrical Engineer, and ask for an interview with that person.

Of course, the details you require with your above question would probably alert most Engineers, who would be aware of "Identity theft", which has become much more prevalent over the last ten years or more.

Accordingly I have advised Admin.

Kind Regards....
