Of cause you can. certainly can. no problem. if you would not be care of money.

you know the ccd camera is expensive than that a or d sensor like optic and dynamic etc. you metioned.

Second, if your microchip has a preamplifier, you can connect them directly, if not, you'd better use a preamplifier to enlarge the ccd output signal to match level, because the ccd signal usually is 1Vp-p. whereas michip is of 5v inputor say cmos (ttl) level. and then programming to judge.

if your group is rather rich, would you like to invest some to us?

Try searching for Vision Sensors on Globalspec.com

hey dear guest its better if u sign up ;

let me say some thing about this ccd cameras ; this are cameras which utilizr ccd (charge coupled device) sensors. the heart of this type of camera is a ccd imagera specialized type of IC which is located just behind the camera lens . the lens focuses small image of the scene infront of it directly on to the CCD imager chip which is behind the optical glass window in its package. the CCD imager scans the image and with the help of few support chips generate a complete standard video signal . hence we can utilize this signal to satisfy what ever needs of ours.

the overall working principles of the ccd imager is some what complex hence u had better browse the internet.

Yes. They make very good cat, rodent and fox detectors. Cause for alarm? Let the user decide.
