RS-232 programming PLC to HR4000(Ocean Optics)

10/21/2008 5:58 AM

I have already posted this as a Guest.

Can anybody provide us with some pointers to help us program our HR4000 spectrometer

to an Omron PLC. We are looking for somebody who has some experience and willing to share info. We are using the RS-232 and are having difficulty reading the spectrum data.

Hi:

Please download the HR4000 Data Sheet and review Appendix A that begins on p. 27, HR4000 Serial Port Interface Communications and Control Information. You can download this document here--> http://www.oceanoptics.com/technical/engineering/OEM%20Data%20Sheet%20--%20HR4000.pdf

I hope this helps. If not, please let me know specific issues that you are having.

Sincerely,

Norm Hoffer
