PC board rack end-plates??? I don't know what to call them...

10/23/2008 9:33 PM

I have a lot of PC cards that are new that have been corroded on the chromed rack guide that plugs the hole at the rack end. They have two ears on them for mounting to the PC board. I don't know what to call them, or where to purchase them.

I can find the blank slot covers, but I need the ones with the ears and maybe some with cut-outs as well.

Anyone know how do find these?

They go into the card slots for the old ISA bus. I think they are still the same size today, but I'm really not sure of that, either.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Curtis

hello, if you have only a few you can remove them and clean them, sand them, then paint them.

Or if you really wanted them chromed and want to spend the money find a plater and have them replatted.

Or get a DIY kit from a place like EastWood

Hope this helps

I think he needs ones which are screwed or riveted to the plug in pc board in the computer.

You might try Keystone Electronics www.keyelco.com I can't find their catalog right now, but they have all sorts of hardware.
