What do you call it?

10/25/2008 1:14 PM

What is the correct technical name/term for the cardboard tube that is used for holding toliet tissue paper on the roll? I remember years ago hearing the term for this tube, but I am unable to recall it. Thanks.

For non-woven fabrics, we used "cores"

In the paper industry and some of the others, (similar) the tube that you speak of is known as a "core" Examples: Paper towels, plastic wrap, TP, aluminum foil....

It's termed, BWOLR (pronounced "Buhwaller")...acronym for Butt Wipe of Last Resort. Is that the name you're trying to remember? Or was it, berry cutter?

Being revolted by the indifference of the readers at the pearls of humour, intelligence and audacity that I post on this forum, I "copy and paste" from Bricktop's link: https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=derder

CR4 Admin: original link no longer exists, substituted a more current link

In different countries, toilet paper is called "loo roll/paper", "toilet roll", "dunny roll/paper", "bog roll", "bathroom tissue", "bum paper", "butt tissue" or "shit paper". Another use for toilet paper role is to stick your penis in the hole and if there is friction or does not fit then you have passed the Saleh test.

Well???
