Forget hydrides - nasty business; high temperatures, ghastly byproducts. One of the national labs announced a pressure vessel that would store compressed gas at room temperature. I can't find the link - sorry

For hydrogen storage, we used pressure vessel plates, Alloy Steel, Chromium-Molybdenum (2.25% Cr & 1% Mol) in accordance with ASME SA 387 Grade 22 Class 2.

Try looking a Pd storage. If you can keep the cell from blowing up it could store significant amount of hydrogen in the intersticial of the metal. Just a thought.

But then watch out for over-heating caused by those pesky "cold fusion" reactions we've been hearing about.

Once combined with oxygen, hydrogen is very easy to store...

Good luck on this dead end technology.

Try combining it wit some carbon, it will make it much easier to handle. You can probably get CO2 cheaply from any refinery, mix it with H2 in a catalyst, add some lost heat from the refinery flare, and Voila! you got methane and similar.

Solves your storage problem, easy to use, and recycle CO2.

Muhammet,

I tried a quick search on Google with the words "hydride storage" and "hydrogen". This turned up many possible resources. I hope some will help you in your study.

if you need to store energy, use a battery, its cheaper and more efficient.

Study hydrogen storage in the hydrogen powered cars that are currently touring the USA. They represent "state of the art" in safe storage of this gas. In addition, check with Nuvera. They make the stations to refuel these vehicles.
