Anchor Load

11/13/2008 10:51 PM

I have 5 pipes running on the sleeper. Size ranges from 300 to 750 mm. They carry water. I have to anchor all the pipes at one of the sleeper. For this i need to have anchor load for sleeper design.

How to calculate the anchor load of pipe on sleeper or piperack ?

You have 2 (and a half) options:

  1. Consult with someone in person with experience.
  2. Read some books, learn yourself, and use computer software.

2-1/2. Give A LOT more details and someone may offer you some advice (you probably won't get exact numerical answers though)
