Air Conditioner Room Formula?

Hi Guys

does anyone knows the method of determining the size or capercity of an Air conditioner that as to be installed in the given Area.i.e A Room of 20x15 meters.Thanks.

Consumer Reports has an online calculator / worksheet that makes the calculation pretty straightforward, as long as you have all of the necessary information available about the space to be cooled.

(It goes a lot further than just considering the area of the room):
