Will Electric Cylinders replace Pneumatic Ones? Look at tis Demo for one manuacturers Electric Cylinder offering.

In short no. Will they acquire a significant market share? yes.

Airs compressibility makes fine control an issue. Linear motors can be fast and accurate.

Thanks for the link I've been interested in this tech for about 20 years.
