Repaired Motor Problem

11/18/2008 3:35 AM

Hello every one,

I have Inverter Hitachi 22KW, and an old repaired Motor [ name plate says: 2poles - 380V 35.5A delta, 660V 20.6 A star - 50/60Hz - 2850 rpm - 18.5 Kw - power factor 0.92]

I have connected the motor Delta ,380V , overload 35A, max frequency 49hz

when operation using the inverter the motor temperature get too high and consume 30A

when direct connecting the motor to 3 phase source temperature is not very high

my question is: Is there difference between inverter output (50HZ ,380V) and the direct source (50 Hz ,380V) ?

Are you operating the motor at the same speed as direct-connect when running from the inverter?

dear all,

i have made star delta starting panel to test the motor

i found that motor temperature goes high also but after some time (20min), so the inverter is not responsible about that high temperature

motor winding may be not perfect!!!

bearing may not be suitable!!!
