Or you can use OpenOffice to create the pdf right on your PC

Or you can use pdf995 from software995 to create the file from any program and print it out as a pdf.

Or you can use my parts girl... stop by my office and have a cup of coffee and she will scan that doc on the new Ricoh into .PDF

Those are only a small part of the programmes converting to PDF.

What is some times more important and as programme less available is the reverse, i.e. from PDF to Word.

Do you know a good free of charge programme for this last operation?

The other thread was closed because the OP asked about copying or editing ebooks. Most ebooks are copyrighted, and anyone advising someone on how to circumvent copyright laws could become complicit in the illegal activity. I'm sure Chris Leonard shut down that thread to protect CR4 and us contributors from any legal liability. He could have just deleted the thread, but by leaving it up, it beocmes a warning to others to behave themselves (at least legally ) while on CR4.

Now for someone who has created a file and they need to convert it to .pdf format, and they want to know which programs to use to do that, that is something we can discuss freely, even if the work to be converted is copyrighted.

I was addressing the section of the post of Nick Name asking about the conversion of pdf files into Word document which will inadvertently give an answer to the thread that was closed by Chris Leonard.
