Hello yigalrr

You do not list your Location or Country - Easy for you to do as Edit in your member Profile, then it auto-updates through all your Topics and Posts, including this one.

<"....2 KWH...."> Perhaps you meant 2kW or 2kVA - please advise further.

<"....electric generator unit...."> - Advise Voltage and frequency you need.

<"....flywheel operated...."> - Advise what you man re "Flywheel operated".

Will this generator be supplying any motors? If so, advise type and kW or HP of the motors.

Hi Sparkstation!

Thank you for your reply!

Regarding your questions:

1) 2 KW

2) Mechanical Rotation - of any type like trolley or wind turbine etc.

3)It will supply various types of electric consuming utilities up to a total load of 2 KW.

Thank you!

You might try these folks to start

www.pentadyne.com

No endorsement, just the only folks I've run into along these lines.

We have several MMG (motor, motor, generator) sets that operate as flywheel operated generators for several seconds following loss of power to both motors. (loose one motor (AC), second takes over, lose second motor (DC), flywheel action carries load for several seconds. These were built my mother GE. We get 2kW from them but for only 7 seconds. Maybe GE can help you out though.

Hi Bob !

That is fine however I'm looking for a smaller unit ( 2kw)that will be operated with a wind power- low RPM @ low torque.

Do you know a vendor for smaller size units?

Thank you
